The Bestest Labor Day Weekend ⋆。˚ 𓆝⋆。˚

[Post Written on Labor Day Weekend 2026]

So, not long ago I was looking into daily makeup and how it could be adapted for my comfort. TBH, since the burnout stage I reached a few months back, I've relaxed in some ways. I very much still interested in gyaru, but I wanted to capture the cool and sexy vibe while being true to my energy level. This weekend I had the chance to try something different for my Rosarito trip. I wanted to use DIY lash extensions, regular contacts, and some cute gloss.

Lately I’ve been watching here and there Izumi Maya’s social media and her YT channel. She has always been top inspo for me, since she can pull sexy and boyish looks <3 Then I was browsing some NUTS insta photos, and I wanted to pinpoint the exact name of the style. Turns out I’m dumb, and Ane-gyaru had totally evolved without me realizing it. Due to my alternative, tattoo-loving nature, I think this style is a smart and natural choice for an almost 34 y/o me. Also, do not argue with me about AV gyaru; I know her past, and her makeup now is way different than 10 years ago.

I tried something:

Teal sparkly eyeshadow, cuz it was a wild beach episode.

Golden-pearled marked tear-bags

Spiky DIY extension lashes

Closed-up brown tide-line that barely opens up towards the outside corner

Overlined lips with glossy finish.

Lightened eyebrows lined with a light pencil, but kept small.

This was my day look, but after a few beers and delicious lobster tails, I went back for a nap.

You know your summer was lit when the seafood restaurant waiters remember you by name.

My outfit was literally my fave skirt turned into a strapless dress, lol.

Then, after freshening up, I gave up on the contacts and kept my glasses. Lately, I’ve noticed that being a glasses wearer is not looked down upon, nor does it remove your appeal (obviously I never thought this, but back in my day people looked at it as uncool). I will try my best to be confident and do full glam with glasses on.

We went to a club with open bar to drink, dance and to help a friend have a good time in Mexico!

He decided it was too much, so he went back around 12. Jeff and I stayed back until like 3 AM to get our money's worth.

The music was good, but it seems like the DJ’s repertoire was quite limited, because he kept repeating the same songs a couple of times. I think we were too drunk to be bored, but I did notice, haha.

Then the next day we decided to kick it by the beach. We found this pretty cool restaurant that had azulitos and tostilocos. We, of course, drank and ate a couple of things.

We came back home and died a little because of the heat wave.~

That's it!
Okay bye!

Work Field Trip and Udon

Today we had a market research session at the mall for work. So I wore what I could find right away. I did my makeup at the office, and we headed out.

The coordinate was made with Alta, because I did not take a photo of it.

IDK why I always make the same "tsss" face... it must be the autism.

I tested so many skincare products, and my hands feel so smooth. I'm not supposed to buy anything, but going to Sephora reminded me of a small wishlist I have. I really want the Glossier body Spritz- Sandstone Cyprés to be exact. It’s my fave smell of all time, wish I could bathe in it. I also want a new YSL lip glaze, since mine is completely gone! It’s seriously my fave glossy lip product ever!

There are also so many cute, cool pink and purple-like blushes out there! But I have the Huda blush palette at my disposal, so I've been using 2 of their colorways.

Seeing what’s good on the market made me realize my humble 30-50 USD routine has nothing on some of the creams I saw.  Some creams were like 500 USD each.

After getting side-eyes from the sales ladies, we headed out for lunch.

That udon place is seriously so good. My pants became a few inches too small. I know noodles will do that to me, but who am I to say no to the pumpkin and sweet potato tempura?!

Earlier that morning, we also had some milk tea. The place is called Heytea, and it’s super cute! Also, they use such nice ingredients that I could taste the quality in the jasmine tea base. I had a guava and jasmine milk tea with a really delicious foam.

I also got some snacks for my love, who is a little sick at home. I got him some cheese danish and a chocopan. I can seriously smell it through the bag while I'm typing this.

I need to wrap it up. That is it for today!

Digicam Blog #1: My room and my cat

I'll revive this for the sake of y2k nostalgia!
I want to use my digicam even more than I do... so I took a couple of shots of my cat Maya chilling with a fluffy purse strap.

She's so photogenic lol

Using the change to show my messy yet aesthetic desk...

Will keep doing silly little blogs, at least until I get a printer to use these photos in my journal hehe.

XOXO-

Bits of Joy in the Mundane

Hello!

My week was not too relevant in the social aspects, but work was interesting to say the least.

I have many new projects to organize and even if it's stressful, it makes me feel fulfilled and excited. I get to challenge myself, and prove that I can totally do better in my position. Regardless of some things I don't enjoy, it's great to know I'm at least in the right path to gain experience.
I wake up and I still have the drive to take myself to the office and overall find joy in conversations with my coworkers.

My fave thing these days is this mango flavored Greek yogurt. It's sweet enough and doesn't leave that weird texture in your mouth

For some reason yellow has been really present in my mind these days as well...
Yellow can mean many things, but let's say that it's because I've been more optimistic lately.

This snack was good, I have been craving sweet lately and that is pretty rare for me. We like to share snacks everyday at work, so this time one of my coworkers got us this.

My hands end up looking like this all the time, it's part of my job description. Also, the main reason why I wear not so cute clothing to work. Functionality and comfort are key,  and I am not about to ruin my LL.

Then Friday after work we celebrated my mom's b-day with some seafood and beer. There are many breweries in San Diego, so we chose Thorn brewery which is in Barrio Logan.

I had Thorn beer before, but in that place they had a bomb tamarind michelada.

Got some fish tacos and could only eat like one and some bites.

This foodtruck outside the brewery was incredible! Also, Baja style fish tacos are cheff's kiss!

Our micheladas with chamoy, it was seriously the perfect closing for a summer Friday.

I have been playing BTS Island, and it's pretty addictive.... Also started watching Bojack Horseman, and it hits too close to home in some of the issues. Generational trauma is no joke.

Soon I'll move out of this place, so I've been thinking about my new set up... might go back to streaming in Twitch once the dust settles.... We'll see what happens.

For now I'll go to get killed in Apex Legends.

XOXO

My experience: BTS PTD Tour 2021

 Hi!

Note: This is an entry from November 2021 that I never posted, but I'm posting now cuz I can't forget this really special day!

I started by packing so I could do my makeup while driving up to LA. I had a tiny (giant) meltdown because I didn't like how I looked in my outfit...

I sure love to bring my whole room with me. I'm so messy... but not the "hehe" kind of messy. I try!! OKaAy?!

The outfit
Sweater, coat & boots: Burlington
Skirt: Shein
Bag: Amazon
Accessories: Bt21 from Line Store and Hot Topic

My makeup was of course blue! I've been bugging everyone about it! I hate my nose contour, but thankfully it was a mask-on kind of day. My eyes did not agree with my lenses that morning.

When we arrived at Inglewood there was this Billboard for JK right outside where we had lunch.

Never been to this stadium before, but it was huuuuge and it looked like a UFO.
Everyone was so fashionable! I loved seeing so many cute and stunning coords!
Next concert I'll do a blue Hime look for sure! I was so shy, that I opted for a more grown-up look (in my eyes it looked more onee).

My sister is a Jhope stan, but she also loves Suga and Tae. Beware of this disgustingly weird angle.
Notice how the sky was so clear and beautiful! Like it cleared out just for them.

We took turns sitting and squatting in the queue.
Our feet were killing us! I am sure it wasn't just us. I wanted to crawl to the car and take my feet off like a Bratz Doll.

I'm an amazing photographer! See how even the lighting is just perfect? She also looks like she needs help.
Her outfit was cute too! All black of course!

Once inside we went to buy merch, but the line was taking forever. The poor worker looked so over it. Normally merch ppl are not fans or anything like that.

I got my army bomb, a t-shirt and some pillow cases. I am really picky about what I buy and hang in my room, so I didn't buy a poster.

The view from our sits! It was a weird angle, but nice enough to see them really close.

Took some videos, but not too many. I was trying to catch a glance at them as much as possible.

The highlights of the concert were:
-Namjoon and Tae cursing!
-Jin came out with his cute flower hairstyle.
-They played older songs and I wanted to cry.
-JK jumped over a giant balloon and fell over.
-The army bombs' color coordination is so breathtaking. Even brighter than the previous concert.

Anyway! I can't wait to see them again, they make me feel so energized and revived.
